do less
Trying to do more is a trap.
In many ways, doing less is the path to achieving more.
By focusing on the core principles of building a business, you cut out the noise, the shiny objects, the distractions, and focus your attention on evergreen activities like building, shipping, and selling.
Especially first-time founders get distracted, and understandably so. You never know what new opportunity might just be your break. But random opportunities are usually less attractive and take more time than you think. So chasing them comes with a cost. A real one.
Trust me, I’ve been there.
When you strip away all that, say no more, and do less, you’ll see that you get more done.
If something doesn’t move the needle, it’s in the way. Ask yourself: “Is this helping me serve my customers?”
If not, let it go and do less.
